Damask Divas Frosted Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Divas Blog Hop featuring the Frosted paper pack. If you came here from Tammy's blog then you are in the right place. If you hopped here by chance, be sure to see the full list of blog participants at the Damask Divas Blog.

I made this wreath using a grapevine wreath I bought at Jo-Ann's.  I cut the snowflakes out using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I cut both the base and the layer options, using both cardstock and B&T paper from the paper packet. They were cut at 2.5 and 3.5 inches.  I added sparkles from the black & grey assortment to the centers. The "Merry & Bright" tag was also cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2.5 inches from Colonial White cardstock, with a mat of 2.75 inches cut from the turquoise paper.  I found it was easiest to use my glue gun to secure everything to the wreath.

I used the following products:

Burlap Ribbon
Frosted paper packet
Art Philosophy Cartridge
Sparkles Assortment, Black & Grey
Frosted Assortment
Stamp Set from Sparkle & Shine WOTG Scrapbooking Kit
Silver Shimmer Trim
Twilight Exclusives Ink
Hot Glue Gun
Grapevine Wreath purchased at Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts

Don't forget, you can still order from the Holidays from the Heart Gift Guide until December 31st, or while supplies last!

Stamping Block Display

Did you know that stamping blocks aren't just for stamping?  They also make a very unique way to display your photos!  This display was made using the 3-Block starter set and the Babycakes paper.  The stamped images were cut out with the Cricut (giraffe from Artbooking, and the Baby stamp from Art Philosophy).  I originally stamped the giraffe in Buttercup on Colonial White cardstock, but it was too light so I stamped over that with Honey and it looked much better.  I used a Copic marker (Caribe Cocoa) to color in the spots, eye and smile.  I used Chocolate Exclusive Ink to stamp the Baby stamp.  I adhered the stamped images to the paper, then used a spray adhesive on the front of the image to adhere it to the blocks.  I used the same spray adhesive to adhere the picture to the 3x3 block.  Trim any excess off, using a craft knife.  Embellish the front as desired...I used 2 pieces from the Babycakes Assortment.  What a quick, easy was to make a display!  The decorating possibilities are endless!

You can find all of these products at my CTMH website.

Make photo "frames" with stamping blocks

Hello, hope you are having a great day! I'm preparing for a workshop today (Christmas cards) and I am also planning a day of gift-making coming up soon and I wanted to share an idea I saw on the Close To My Heart website.
You stamp an image using Versamark ink directly on the stamping block and heat emboss it.  Then you apply spray adhesive on the front of your pic and adhere it to the back of the block. I trimmed the edges where the photo was too big (using a craft knife) and added a Sparkles flourish.  What a quick easy gift!!

Christmas is right around the corner!!  Shop with me for these products and more.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Holiday Gift Card Holders

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great weekend!  I've been enjoying it myself.  I made these gift card holders since my husband and I usually buy quite a few gift cards for Christmas presents.  The design came from a fellow CTMH team member,  Hillary Harris.  They could easily be adapted to fit any occasion.  I used the Sparkle & Shine paper pack from the Holiday Gift Guide. You could use just about any stamp/sentiment in your desired shape for the label.

The base is cut 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.  Score it 2 inches from one end and 2 1/2 inches from the other end.  Use a corner rounder on the shorter end.  Glue the sides of the larger end to the inside to form the pocket for the gift card.  The paper cuts are cut at 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches, 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, and 3 3/4 x 3 1/4 (this piece is for the back of the card holder).
