Skylark Card

Hello! I hope you are having a great day.  I certainly am as I got an unexpected day off, so I've been playing in my scrap room!  I recently completed the Skylark Workshops On The Go Scrapbooking kit and had plenty of scraps left over so I made this card.

The pattern is from the Wishes Card Confidence Program book from Close To My Heart. The pattern I used is on page 97, Collage.  It's a great book, especially if you have "scrapper's block" like I do.  It gives you the measurements to cut your papers and even instructs you where to place them to create a beautiful card in minutes!  

The heart is stamped using the set from the WOTG kit and then matted with Sweetleaf cardstock, also part of the kit. I inked and/or distressed all papers and cardstock, using Whisper Ink.

The hearts are stamped in Whisper Ink, the sentiment in Lagoon.  This particular sentiment is no longer available but you could use any sentiment of choice.

Love Banner Valentine Card

Damask Divas Ivy Lane Blog Hop

Washi Wonder Valentine Card

Hello!  I've had this Valentine's Day card idea running through my head the past few days and finally had the time after work today to actually put it together.  I used several of the new products found in the new Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book, as well as some "oldies but goodies."  I'm a huge fan of pinks & browns together, so I fell in love with this card. Hope you do too! 

The "cake" was stamped using the Washi Wonder set, each layer in a different color (bottom is Hollyhock, middle is Smoothie and top is Cotton Candy). I drew the cake stand using a journaling pen. I also inked the scalloped edge and the card edges in Chocolate. The window frame strips are cut at 1/4 inch and the pane strips are cut at 1/8 inch.

Christmas Gift Bags

Good morning!  Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  I really enjoyed the time with my family.....and especially the four-day weekend!  I took the time to play a little in my scrapbook room and made these little gift bags.  I make jewelry sometimes, especially for gifts and thought these little bags would be perfect.  They went together quickly since I decorated them with the Sparkle & Shine Washi tape...so easy.

The one on the left was cut from the Artiste Cartridge, page 79, 3D object, cut at 5 inches, with Ruby cardstock.
The other one was cut from the Art Philosophy Cartridge, page 23, Font Layer, also at 5 inches, with paper from the Sparkle & Shine paper packet.

I used a small piece of adhesive velcro on the left bag to keep the flap closed, and tied Cranberry twine around the flap and into a bow before closing the flap.

The sentiments were stamped using the stamp set from the WOTG Frosted Scrapbooking kit (the wreath).  The sentiment is from Holiday Tags stamp set (D1560) and the circle stamp is from the Perfect Fit-Holidays stamp set (B1412).  I used Slate and Ruby Exclusives Inks.

Damask Divas Frosted Blog Hop

I made this wreath using a grapevine wreath I bought at Jo-Ann's.  I cut the snowflakes out using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I cut both the base and the layer options, using both cardstock and B&T paper from the paper packet. They were cut at 2.5 and 3.5 inches.  I added sparkles from the black & grey assortment to the centers. The "Merry & Bright" tag was also cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2.5 inches from Colonial White cardstock, with a mat of 2.75 inches cut from the turquoise paper.  I found it was easiest to use my glue gun to secure everything to the wreath.

Stamping Block Display

Did you know that stamping blocks aren't just for stamping?  They also make a very unique way to display your photos!  This display was made using the 3-Block starter set and the Babycakes paper.  The stamped images were cut out with the Cricut (giraffe from Artbooking, and the Baby stamp from Art Philosophy).  I originally stamped the giraffe in Buttercup on Colonial White cardstock, but it was too light so I stamped over that with Honey and it looked much better.  I used a Copic marker (Caribe Cocoa) to color in the spots, eye and smile.  I used Chocolate Exclusive Ink to stamp the Baby stamp.  I adhered the stamped images to the paper, then used a spray adhesive on the front of the image to adhere it to the blocks.  I used the same spray adhesive to adhere the picture to the 3x3 block.  Trim any excess off, using a craft knife.  Embellish the front as desired...I used 2 pieces from the Babycakes Assortment.  What a quick, easy was to make a display!  The decorating possibilities are endless!
